AIPL making the leadership for Aflatoxin testing in the country with latest installation & method validation at Coconut Development Authority.

Aflatoxins are secondary metabolites produced by the fungi species Aspergillus flavus, parasiticus and nomius. These fungi occur in humid tropical areas. Aflatoxins are highly toxic even in low concentrations. In addition, they belong to the strongest natural occurring carcinogenic substances.

Aflatoxins may be present in many different foods. Commonly found in corn, peanuts, Coconut But also other foods such as rice, millet, almonds, cashews, chillies, coffee, spices, oilseeds or dried fruits can be affected.

AIPL product specialization team has successfully completed the installation & method validation for CDA to analyse samples via HPLC technology.
